Mystic Tan™ Process

The Mystic Tan™ Booth is designed to deliver a customized sunless tanning application to each customer based on their body size, skin type, and desired color. There are three tanning level options available to produce the optimal tanning results for each individual customer.

Once the proper tanning level for a new customer has been determined they are shown a short instructional video, which is designed to walk them through the entire process step-by-step. This insures that each customer receives the exact same instructions on how to get the best results.

Inside the Mystic Tan™ room the tanner simply disrobes and enters the booth. With the push of a button the session begins with a fine mist of Aloe Vera enriched Sunless-Tanning Solution being sprayed through our proprietary patented MagneTan nozzles.

The MagneTan Technology insures uniform coverage over the entire body, which our proprietary sunless tanning solution instantly transforms into a quick natural-looking tan that continues to darken throughout the day.

What is MagneTan Technology?

MagneTan is a revolutionary process that allows the Mystic Tan™ booth to apply a uniform amount of solution to all parts of the body. As the solution passes through the nozzles, the particles of solution are polarized, taking on the characteristics of tiny magnets.

MagneTan technology then uses the body's own magnetic properties to attract the solution particles to the skin. The result is a perfectly uniform, natural-looking tan!

How Mystic Tan™ Works:

The Mystic Tan™ tanning solution has 3 components: Bronzer, DHA, and Aloe Vera.

The bronzer is a water-soluble cosmetic dye designed to produce an instant tan. The bronzer tan remains on the skin until it is washed off in a shower or bath. The brown bronzer color can be seen in the bath water but will not stain because it is completely water-soluble.
The DHA (dihydroxyacetone) is the component that creates the longer term tanning effect, When applied to the skin, DHA reacts with proteins and amino acids in the skin's superficial layer to form a golden brown color. It will begin to darken 2 to 3 hours after application but it reaches its peak color within 24 hours. The DHA color and intensity will be very close to that produced initially by the bronzer. The DHA tan will begin to fade within four to five days. To maintain an optimal tan an individual should tan every four to five days.
The Aloe Vera helps to carry the DHA deeper into the skin and promotes a softer, smoother skin. The Mystic Tan" tanning solution contains more than 65% stabilized Aloe Vera liquid. Aloe Vera is a natural moisturizer that helps the skin draw moisture into the surface. It softens the skin and helps smooth wrinkles.
